Tap the record button on the main screen. SermonScribe will begin recording audio and showing a live transcript as the speaker talks. When the sermon ends, tap stop. The app will then generate an AI summary and action items from the recording.
Yes. All core features work without an internet connection. Recording, transcription, and AI processing all happen on your device. The only features that need internet are subscription verification and downloading app updates.
Yes. SermonScribe supports background audio recording. You can lock your phone or switch to another app and the recording will continue. This is essential for long sermons (45-90 minutes) where you don't want to keep the screen on.
SermonScribe requires iOS 26 or later. AI summaries and action items work best on devices that support Apple Intelligence (iPhone 15 Pro and later, or iPhone 16 series). Older devices can still record and transcribe, but AI summary features may be limited.
SermonScribe uses Apple's Speech Recognition framework, which is generally very accurate for clear English speech. Accuracy may vary with heavy accents, background noise, or very fast speakers. You can always edit the transcript after recording.
Absolutely. While SermonScribe is designed with sermons in mind, it works for any spoken event: meetings, lectures, study groups, therapy sessions, support groups, or any context where you want to capture and summarise what was said.
No. All recording, transcription, and AI processing happens entirely on your device. Your audio never leaves your phone. We don't operate servers that store your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Open SermonScribe on your new device and go to Settings. Tap "Restore Purchases" and your Pro subscription will be restored automatically, as long as you're signed in with the same Apple ID.
Open any note and tap the share button. You can export as text (free) or PDF (Pro). Share to any app on your device: Notes, Files, email, AirDrop, or anywhere else.
You can delete individual recordings by swiping left on them in the notes list. To delete all data, remove the app from your device. Since we don't store any of your data on our servers, deletion is immediate and complete.
Sermons delivered in public church services are generally considered public speech and can be recorded for personal use in most jurisdictions. However, laws vary by location. We recommend checking local recording consent laws and informing speakers when possible. SermonScribe is intended for personal note-taking, not redistribution.
